The actor added that his past health issues, including scarring from 14 stomach surgeries, reminded him to use common sense.
"My therapist said, 'The next time you think about taking OxyContin, think about the rest of your life with a colostomy bag,'" she told the center. "A little window opened, I went through it, and I didn't need OxyContin anymore."
